PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Industrial Bridge Road concession consists of a road interconnection project of approximately 6.4 km between the Coronel and Talcahuano districts. It will be a bridge with road accesses and two links to the important arteries Route 160 (road to Coronel) and the Costanera Avenue (which connects Concepción, Hualpén and Talcahuano through the Industrias sector). The means of payment will be Electronic Toll in Free Flow mode.

The route and all the required infrastructure are completely new and are located on riverside terrain with little or no urbanisation. The defined model for the works is a dual express roadway, with 2 lanes in each direction that will connect with the Costanera Avenues in the north and with Route 160 in the south through grade separated junctions. Both carriageways will be separated by a central reservation and a crash barrier. The maximum permitted and sign posted speed limit will be 80km/h although during the design stage there will be a project speed limit of 100km/h. The speed limit for the link and connection roads will vary between 40 and 70km/h.
